After her launch in Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 was delayed so that the devs could change her controversial name, the newly titled Izzy Operator has arrived in-game. However, players have noticed an unfortunate oversight now that the character is live.

When Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 Season 4 was announced, five new Operators were confirmed to arrive over the course of the season. This included Nikto from the Battle Pass and Io for any BlackCell owners.

Among these fresh faces was Izanami, but her release was delayed slightly due to an issue with her name. Although she was named after the Shinto deity Izanami-no-Mikoto, who is a key figure in Japanese mythology, fans quickly noticed that the name spelled backward said, “I’m a Nazi.”

The Operator, now named Izzy, finally made her debut in Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 Season 4 Reloaded, but fans have spotted another mistake that appears to have slipped through the cracks.

Reddit user ‘Lindeboombier’ was the first to point out the mishap, posting: “All that effort to rebrand izzy, but they forgot the subtitles.”

The OP also shared an image of the subtitles when Izzy delivers one of her voice lines, which clearly still shows the original name of Izanami being used.

Other players in the comments were quick to roast the devs, arguing that this should be a relatively easy fix. Meanwhile, others argued that it’s “stupid that an operator has to have a name change because of how it’s spelled backwards” in the first place.

Either way, this is clearly a glaring oversight on the developer’s part, so don’t be surprised to see it addressed in the coming days.
