Diablo 4 Season 1 is here, but the community are unhappy with much of the new content and changes it brings. As the Diablo 4 1.1.0 update goes live, fans are even threatening to boycott the game until they are heard.

Just over a month on from its successful launch, which saw it become the fastest-selling Blizzard game of all time, Diablo 4 Season 1 has arrived. The 1.1.0 update brings a ton of post-launch content, from new gameplay features to seasonal characters.

But the response to Season of the Malignat has been far from positive so far, with fans taking issue with the number of class nerfs handed out in the update, especially to the Sorcerer class which many already felt was underpowered.

The backlash to Diablo 4 Season 1 has become so strong that players are planning to boycott the game altogether until changes are made. Reddit user ‘Denelorn’ was among those looking to stop playing Diablo 4, and urged others not to purchase the Battle Pass.

“We need to punish Blizzard for their nonstop nerf everything mindset, due to ‘We can’t design engaging balanced content,'” said the player, before adding: “We play games to have fun. Not get c**ked into this f**ked up system of no trade, no drops, s**t items, if it’s good not for long! Bulls**t.”

In a separate thread, which has racked up around 650 upvotes, ‘dice247’ shared a similar sentiment and claimed they are “actually out” after seeing the Diablo 4 Season 1 patch notes.

“The only way these devs are going to understand is if they see their player base drop dramatically,” they said. “I don’t know about you but I’m not logging back in till I see some changes.”

There were plenty of replies across both threads from others that were planning to or had already uninstalled Diablo 4 in protest over the 1.1.0 update.

After deleting the game, one angry reply said: “I mained a sorc to level 80 and I feel so incredibly s**t on by the utter lunacy that is the dev team of this game that I decided, to hell with it. Absolutely incredible how a team can be THIS out of touch with what players ACTUALLY want and like.”

Anyone up for a boycott after this patch?

Fans will have to wait and see how the devs plan to address their issues with the Season 1 update, but it shouldn’t be too long before the team announces what their plans are going forward.
