New characters and weapons arrive in Genshin Impact every three weeks which certainly helps in keeping the meta fresh. Now that the 3.8 update is live, let’s take a look at the current and upcoming character and weapon banners in Genshin Impact.

Gacha games like Honkai Star Rail and Genshin Impact focus a lot on releasing attractive characters that players spend their valuable Stellar Jade or Primogems on. Both the hit action RPGs by HoYoverse have strikingly similar banner systems that reset every three weeks and bring in new characters and weapons and Light Cones.

Genshin Impact now has over 50 playable characters due to which tracking the banner cycle has become more important than ever. Many characters do not get featured in banners for several months and the Standard banner isn’t good enough to compensate for this.

On that note, here are all the details regarding the current banner in Genshin Impact and the upcoming character and weapon banners.

What is the current Genshin Impact character banner?

Eula is a five-star Cryo Claymore character who deals Physical damage.

We’re currently experiencing phase 1 of Genshin Impact version 3.8 which includes Eula and Klee banners. While Eula (Cryo Claymore user) and Klee (Pyro Catalyst user) are the featured five-star characters, these four-star characters also have a boosted drop rate:

  • Mika (Cryo Polearm user)
  • Razor (Electro Claymore user)
  • Thoma (Pyro Polearm user)

When will the current Genshin Impact character banner end?

Klee and Eula’s banners were released with phase 1 of Genshin Impact version 3.8 on July 5, 2023, and they’ll leave the game on July 26, 2023.

What is the current Genshin Impact weapon banner?

The Epitome Invocation banner in Genshin Impact guarantees a five-star drop every 80 pulls.

In phase one of Genshin Impact version 3.8, the featured five-star weapons are the Song of Broken Pines Claymore and Lost Prayer to the Sacred Winds Catalyst. The four-star weapons with the boosted drop rate are:

  • Favonius Lance (Polearm)
  • Alley Hunter (Bow)
  • Alley Flash (Sword)
  • Rainslasher (Claymore)
  • Eye of Perception (Catalyst)

Like the character banner, the current weapon banner will also leave the game on July 26, 2023.

When will the next Genshin Impact banner release and its featured characters

During the second phase of the 3.8 update, players can look forward to the rerun banners for Wanderer (Scaramouche) and Kokomi. While Wanderer is a solid Anemo damage dealer, Kokomi is a top-tier healer that’ll significantly boost your team’s survivability.

Following the second phase of the 3.8 update, Genshin Impact version 4.0 should introduce Lyney, Lynette, and Freminet. Lyney is a five-star Pyro Bow character, Lynette is a four-star Anemo Sword character, and Freminet is a four-star Cryo Claymore character.

We’ve had all this information through drip marketing on Genshin Impact’s official social media handles:

"Did you see that? As the dove emerged from the hat, the corner of Freminet's mouth turned up very slightly. Imagine how he'd react if we could find a way to make a whole flock of them fly out! After all, as his big brother, it's my duty to make him laugh."

If there are no unexpected delays, the next Genshin Impact character and weapon banners should be released on July 26, 2023. This is in accordance with the game’s fixed banner cycle of three weeks.
