The Flamebreaker armor set is essential to explore all the hotspots across the map in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom. Here’s how to get all three pieces of the Flamebreaker armor set in Zelda TOTK.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has plenty of pretty rough environments that need specific equipment to explore them. In the case of hot regions, you can equip Link with the Flamebreaker Armor, which will allow him to resist the heat and let you travel safely through locations such as Death Mountain and Gerudo Desert.
Luckily for players, the Flamebreaker armor set in TOTK can be bought in a city store but for quite a steep price. If you manage to get enough Rupees, here’s everything you’ll need to do to get all three pieces of the Flamebreaker armor set in Tears of the Kingdom.
What is Flamebreaker armor set in Zelda TOTK?
In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, the Flamebraker armor set is an essential armor used for extended journeys in the hottest regions. The armor set consists of three parts: Flamebraker Helm, Flamebraker Armor, and Flamebreaker Boots. Each of these items has a Flame Guard bonus effect that can be upgraded for more protection.
To safely traverse Death Mountain, only two components of the Flamebreaker Armor Set are necessary. However, outfitting yourself with all three pieces and enhancing them twice does confer the Flameproof set bonus, further bolstering your defenses.
You’ll have to wear the complete set to gain complete immunity to fire and heat.
How to get Flamebreaker armor set in Zelda TOTK
The Flamebreaker armor set can be pretty expensive at the beginning of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, but we recommend buying at least two parts as soon as possible to achieve immunity in fire areas. Players can purchase these items at the armor shop in Goron City, west of Death Mountain.
You’ll find the armor shop that sells the Flamebreaker armor at Goron City.
This small town has many shops, but you can easily spot the armor shop if you look for an NPC sitting outside its door while eating a snack. The Flamebraker set will be available there but it might surprise players when they see that they’ll have to spend 3,300 rupees to get the whole set. The cost and stats of each piece of armor piece are as follows:
Armor | Defense | Effect Bonus | Cost |
---|---|---|---|
Flamebreaker Helm | 3 | Flame Guard | 1,400 |
Flamebreaker Armor | 3 | Flame Guard | 700 |
Flamebreaker Boots | 3 | Flame Guard | 1,200 |
If you’re early in the game and can’t afford any Flamebreaker pieces of armor, we recommend hunting for fire-proof lizards and preparing fireproof elixirs.
