Sniper Rifles are ideal for long-range fights in Warzone 2, and with the right attachments, certain Snipers can down an enemy with a single bullet. Here’s how to make your Sniper Rifle loadout a one-shot kill in Warzone 2 Season 4.

Warzone 2 has dozens of weapons to choose from, all of which excel in various different situations, from versatile Assault Rifles to close-range SMGs. But the community had been growing frustrated with the state of Sniper Rifles in the sequel, as they could no longer down an enemy with a single headshot at launch.

Warzone 2 Season 3 brought back their one-shot capabilities, but only in certain situations and with the right attachments, and the feature has carried over into Season 4.

Here’s everything you need to know about to make Sniper Rifles a one-shot kill in Warzone 2 Season 4, as well as the best loadouts to use.

How to make Sniper Rifles one-shot in Warzone 2

In order to gain the ability to one-shot enemies with a Sniper Rifle in Warzone 2, you’ll need to equip Explosive Ammunition to your weapon and land a headshot.

In the Season 3 blog, the devs explained: “After testing in our Saint Patrick’s Day Event, we are adding One-Hit-Down Snipers to create added variety in combat playstyles. Bolt-action snipers equipped with Explosive Ammunition will be able to down enemies with one skill shot.”

Explosive ammo gives each Sniper the damage buff required to rip through a fully-plated enemy and knock them with one headshot. However, it also comes with some drawbacks, including a loss of bullet velocity which makes shots less precise over long distances.

Intervention in Warzone 2

The Intervention has quickly become one of the best Sniper Rifles in Warzone 2.

Which Snipers can one-shot in Warzone 2?

As mentioned in the Warzone 2 blog, Sniper one-shot capabilities have only been granted to heavier, bolt-action rifles. At the time of writing four Sniper Rifles have Explosive Ammunition as an option; the MCPR-300, the Victus XMR, the Signal 50, and the Intervention, also known as the FJX Imperium.

However, one outlier emerged in Season 4 as players discovered a glitch that grants one-shot kill capabilities to the SP-X 80. This has been a revolutionary discovery in Season 4 as the lightweight and mobile Sniper can one-shot kill players thanks to the .300 Incendiary ammunition.
