Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 Season 5 brings a number of new weapons, including the WA2000 from 2009. Here’s how to unlock the Carrack .300 in Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.

Updates have been coming thick and fast in Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2, and Season 5 is set to bring even more new additions when it arrives on August 2. While rap fans will have their eye on the Nicki Minaj and Snoop Dogg Operators, it’s the new weapons that have most players talking.

Alongside the FR Avancer Assault Rifle comes the Carrack .300, a deadly new Sniper Rifle based on the classic WA2000 from MW2 2009.

Here’s how to unlock the Carrack .300 Sniper Rifle in Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 Season 5.

How to unlock Carrack .300 Sniper Rifle in MW2 & Warzone 2

Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 players will be able to unlock the Carrack .300 through the Season 5 Battle Pass. It hasn’t been confirmed which sector will need to be completed in order to get hold of it, but Sectors D13 and D19 were home to the Season 4 guns, so the same could be true in Season 5.

Players can rest assured that both the Carrack .300 and FR Avancer will free rewards, so there’s no need to purchase the full Battle Pass to start using the WA2000 in battle royale and multiplayer matches.

The Carrack .300 is based on the WA2000 from MW2 2009.

Just like it did back in 2009, the devs have confirmed that the Carrack .300 is a semi-automatic Sniper Rifle with “an exceptionally high fire rate” and “best-in-class handling and stability.”

With such a high fire rate, it’s unlikely that the Carrack .300 will have the one-shot capabilities that make other Snipers so dominant in Warzone. However, other long-range options like the SP-X 80 have become extremely popular thanks to their mobility, so don’t be surprised to see WA2000 show up in plenty of matches going forward.

We’ll be sure to update this page with full details on how to unlock the Carrack .300 in Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 once the patch notes are live.
