Diablo 4 has been one of the biggest games of 2023, as millions of players have now spent hours on the title. With Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard set to close soon, here’s everything we know about whether Diablo 4 will be coming to Xbox Game Pass.

Blizzard’s dungeon crawler franchise reached new heights with Diablo 4, as the title became the developer’s fastest-selling title of all time. From improved cut scenes to a more polished couch co-op system, players have been enjoying a ton of new features, and more are arriving in the Season 1 update.

Diablo 4 can be played across PlayStation, Xbox, and PC, but many are wondering whether the game will feature on the Xbox Game Pass amidst Microsoft’s Activision Blizzard acquisition.

Will Diablo 4 release on Xbox Game Pass?

Currently, Diablo 4 is not available on Xbox Game Pass, and the developers stated that they had no plans to add their latest Diablo game to Game Pass.

After a Brazilian payment app advertised Diablo 4 as “available now” on Xbox Game Pass before being removed, many assumed it was on the way. However, Diablo boss Mike Ybarra responded to Game Pass Tracker sharing the rumor by simply stating: “This is not happening.”

Having said that, Phil Spencer, the CEO of Microsoft Gaming, intends to make Overwatch, Diablo, and Call of Duty, among other franchises by Activision and Blizzard, available on Game Pass following the Microsoft-Activision merger.

On June 11 the US government approved Microsoft’s bid to acquire Activision Blizzard and with the merger almost complete, we might see a change in Blizzard’s stance in the future.
