Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is set to hit shelves in a few months. It is a direct sequel to Insomniac Game’s 2018 web-slinger and will let you claim extra bonuses if you pre-order certain editions of the game. Here’s a rundown of every edition and all the bonuses you can grab before launch.

After a five-year wait, fans of Spider-Man are ready to dive into a new adventure that will feature both Peter Parker and Miles Morales in main roles. Things are a little grim this time for both men, as they’re pursuing Kraven the Hunter while struggling with paying mortgages.

Peter is also getting new symbiote abilities in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, which is straining his friendship with MJ and Miles, all while he tracks down the anti-hero haunting Manhattan – Venom.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 editions & prices

Spider-Man 2 will arrive on PlayStation 5 on October 20, 2023, with four different editions.

While some editions have more content than others, the pre-order bonuses that players will receive are the same, no matter what edition they buy.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Standard Edition

The Spider-Man 2 Standard Edition costs $69.99 / £69.99/ €79.99 in both physical and digital form. This edition only includes the base game, but players who pre-order it will receive exclusive bonuses detailed below.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Digital Deluxe Edition

The Digital Deluxe Edition of Spider-Man 2 can be purchased digitally for $79.99 / £79.99/ €89.99. It includes the base game, just like the Standard Edition, and the following additional content:

10 unique suits (5 for Peter, 5 for Miles).
Additional Photo Mode frames and stickers.
2 additional skill points.

The 10 suits were designed by different artists, including Kris Anka, Character Designer for the movie Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.

The Digital Deluxe Edition of Spider-Man 2 comes with 10 unique suits for Peter and Miles.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Collector’s Edition content & price

The Spider-Man 2 Collector’s Edition is only available to purchase physically for $229.99 / £219.99/ €249.99. It includes a voucher for the Digital Deluxe Edition, meaning you’ll get the base game and all bonuses as well. On top of that, this edition contains the following:

A Steelbook case.
A high-quality 19-inch statue featuring both Spider-Men battling Venom.

Venom is one of the main villains in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Limited Edition PlayStation 5 Bundle

PlayStation also announced a brand new PS5 bundle called Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Limited Edition Bundle, with the console designed in the signature Venom style as a symbiote consumes the box. The preorders for the limited edition console are set to go live on July 1, with a release date of September 1, 2023.

The Limited Edition PS5 bundle will include:

A PlayStation 5 console with Spider-Man 2 design
A DualSense controller with a similar Spider-Man 2 design
A digital code for the Spider-Man 2 PlayStation 5 game

PlayStation hasn’t yet confirmed prices for the console and DualSense controller. However, fans will hope that both of them will drop at the same price as the regular PlayStation 5 ($499.99/£449.99) and controller ($69.99/£59.99). The DualSense can be bought separately.

If you already own the PlayStation 5, you can buy a cover with the same design to embellish your console with the symbiote. We do not have a confirmed price for the covers.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 pre-order bonuses

Fans who pre-order any version of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, including the Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Limited Edition PlayStation Bundle, will receive the following bonuses:

Early unlock of the Arachknight Suit for Peter with 3 additional color variants.
Early unlock of the Shadow Spider Suit for Miles with 3 additional color variants
Early unlock of the Web Grabber gadget.
3 skill points.

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 pre-order bonuses for all editions — Insomniac Games/Sony

Players will have a lot of content to unlock for both Spider-Men.

As you can see, pre-ordering the Digital Deluxe Edition will grant you a total of 5 skill points to spend early in the game.
