Many fans are wondering if Tekken 8 will feature crossplay and cross-progression for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox, so here’s your answer.
As we get more and more information about Tekken 8 as the weeks and months go on, the hype increases, and players want to know even more about the next installment of the 3D fighting game.
From an illustrious roster full of returning faces to a new Heat mechanic which aims to make gameplay more focussed on aggression, Tekken 8 is looking to take the fighting game genre by storm.
Tekken 8 will be the first truly next-gen game for Bandai Namco’s franchise, so with that said, will the title feature crossplay and cross-progression? Here’s everything you need to know.
Will Tekken 8 have crossplay?
Tekken Game Director and Chief Producer Katsuhiro Harada has confirmed that Tekken 8 will feature crossplay, allowing players on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S|X, and PC to play with each other.
In fact, upon loading up the Tekken 8 Closed Network Test, there is a pop-up about crossplay which confirms that not only will the game feature it, but you can also turn it off if you wish in the settings.

Will Tekken 8 have cross-progression?
There hasn’t been any confirmation regarding cross-progression for Tekken 8, but more games seem to be including the feature so there’s a chance that the game could include it.
Cross-progression would allow Tekken 8 players to play on their account across all platforms, which includes PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series S|X, retaining their progression.
